Three things of note.
1 - We've seen the leaks come from one shop where we also conveniently saw them come off the shelf. As I said at the time, if those are legit, the guy is losing his business to a lawsuit his kids would still be paying off. A picture, sure, but the legit jerseys up on the shelf three or four days before release? That is weird, to say the least. And why have we not seen it coming from a heck of a lot more? Even just pictures from the stock room. Nobody else opened the boxes? Doubtful. I wonder if only a select few shops actually got some boxes in a little behind-the-scenes deal with the Browns - go put these out, leak them, do what you gotta do.
2 - We've seen the leaks that are said to be in the team shop. I don't know, I've never seen the team shop. I saw one on PGL's twitter with all the Manziel jerseys. That, however, is still only maybe 30 jersey's sitting there. Easy to put up 30 fake shirts if you've got boxes upon boxes of the real deal sitting somewhere else in the building under lock and key. One would assume they wouldn't be shelved until after the reveal. Only takes 10/20 minutes to stock shelves. (I worked in retail as a teenager)
3. We've been hearing for quite some time the Browns have been intentionally leaking certain information to certain people to try and determine where information is getting out. The launch of the new uniforms seems like the perfect time to really see who is leaking what.
Overall, the leaks do seem legit, but it wouldn't be impossible for the Browns to stage the leaks so as to not impede the true release - and it would be one of the most boss moments you could ask. The team would come off looking air tight.
