I still think this is gonna be a tough defense to face...
 
We'll see how EMC plays as well as Hickman but yeah. Between the three of them we have depth in the Safety room.

Donovan McMillon and Chris Edmonds should spend a ton of time with ST's if they want to make the team.

Also note that Hickman signed a one year deal so the team can easily cut him . He's not that high on their favorite players.

Barring injuries.. this D is still in the top half of the league if not top 10 again. Baltimore's offense seems actually worse. Pittsburg's offense slightly better. Bengals offense is the same. The divisions defenses have not made any major leaps.... Pittsburgh's D is getting OLD... Baltimore only added Hendrickson. Bengals retooled the D slightly on the DL.. but nothing scary there. ... OUR OL just has to jell Quickly and we will be just fine. I don't have high expectations.. While I want to win, we are in rebuilding mode . this team could be moving towards being a playoff factor starting next year... provided the top 3-4 Rookies produce. Need the QB situation sorted this year or next.. a new top end CB or two.. and we are on the way. The offense is stacked with young talent now.
 
I think so too. The Offense added Sanders, Fanin, Sampson & Q last year and this year we added Fano, Concepcion & Boston in the draft. We're getting a whole new OLine with the FA's too. The offense has been rebuilt except for QB. We'll see how it looks by the end of September.

On defense we added Graham, Schwesinger, Collins and Verse as well as Tyson Campbell last year and this year we added EMac. Justin Jefferson is more of a ST guy to start. The MG loss hurts but I believe Verse is a very good guy to take over in his place.

We got our LS, Kicker and Punter though they're looking to get younger at punter if one of the kids balls out. Younger & cheaper to be sure.

One of the things I'd caution on is Fano. I've not heard any good praise and he was demoted to 2nd team for a minute. That worries me but we can toss in Dawand Jones there if necessary and roll with him until Fano gets comfortable and up to speed.

Don't forget new HC Monken. His impact is leaking out on the team. He's shot down the whole veteran days off BS and I'm glad. Training Camp is too soft these days as it is. EVERYBODY works in camp. PERIOD! It's the only way to create respect in the locker room. And he said "...the players will determine who starts." From that perspective we'll get the 11 best guys on the field most all the time.
 
I'm not too worried on Fano yet... I believe it's an adjustment period for him... We have to realize not everyone drafted can be Joe Thomas or even Joel Bitonio.. We have been a bit spoiled thus far.. MG's departure doesn't bother me one bit.. I actually believe Verse will impact the team in more positive ways,... Remember.. Myles took it upon himself to nearly kill another player by using his helmet as a weapon. Got several speeding tickets.. Used the media during super bow week to cry about his contract etc. And no one on the team has made any parting messages of glee for him... I don't miss hiss him and his play never really determined the outcome of games..

11.45 - is this D-line a problem? ah,we blitz our LB. can't generate sacks with D-line.
TBH Its just what I thought..big fan misconception? our D was great last year.
did Q just say we were top 3 D sometimes? man,we woulda won more than 5 games.sh%t.

The offense was pathetic. Our defense was a top 10 defense for sure. A mediocre offense and we would have been a top 2 defense,
 
That's a projection Marty.

Our defense is middling plus. 10 to 15 depending on the stats you choose to use.

If you rate defenses on their offenses capability, then invest in AI and all that BS tech and numbers because one will never be able to properly evaluate a defense.

And vice versa.

If we evaluate our offense based on our defenses proficiency then WTF?! What are we doing?
