NFL Draft The number 2 overall pick

I dont like hunter at 2.
he's a luxury pick for teams set at skill positions.not us I'm afraid.
he'll play at CB forget WR and he'll prolly spend half of his first 5 years on IR.this is not the NCAA these are grown as$ men out here.
the giants or possibly the jets are going to want a deal to take sanders.we could trade back If we dont want a QB.
I think we take a gamble on sanders hoping he is the next underated lamar jackson and hope pray for the best.
In short we do what every other NFL team does and draft the best QB we can and see what percolates.
you never know until you try....and try...and try...then try again.we cant quit on a franchise QB.they do exist.
plan B we take carter in a giants trade and in the 2nd rd take dart or big will howard.(If they are still there👃)
we wil draft a QB,how bad it is its up to you.

look at last years run at Qb,5 in the top 10.nobody thought that possible.we will get offered a deal to trade back so really its
sanders or trade down.

The first, foremost, and only, way to turn it around is by getting the QB right. After that, every other draftee and signing either looks better, or doesn't matter.

TB12 covered up Bill's shitting drafting and average FA signings for 2 decades.
Also, players play better when the QB is scoring the football. Our D was better in 2023 because it new the offense was figuring out a way to score. The effort was damn good. In 2024, about mid-season, the defensive players knew, it was going to be a slog-it-through deal. Not much fun, and you don't get that extra effort.

If we trade down, I am really hoping we end up with Jeanty. Still a Blue Chip, and while the RB position may be less valuable, for us RB is very valuable. The system is top 5-10 rushing production, play-action pass off of that. Take the QB (Sanders, Milroe) later in the 1st or 2nd, and the offense has received a major boost. The acquired draft capital from moving down will be very important in replenshing the talent lost in the Watson Trade.

I am not advocating a trade down. But if we do, the only vision I can see where that works is Ashton Jeanty. Still think back on the Julio Jones trade this time of the year. Don't trade away elite talent on a rookie contract!
