This is silly... Who made you an authority on ball knowledge...??
Yardbarker, Yahoo Sports and most recently 247 sports all seem to think I know what I'm talking about. At least enough to have earned a paycheck for my opinions.
But the statement I responded to is just factually incorrect.
If Watson is the best quarterback on the roster, it accomplishes the one thing every NFL team is trying to accomplish... winning football games.
The Browns aren’t running a charity. They aren’t handing out snaps based on draft position, public opinion, or what makes for the best offseason storyline. If Monken and the coaching staff determine Watson gives them the best chance to win, he’ll play. And if Watson somehow returns to even 80-90% of the player he was in Houston, that accomplishes a lot more than throwing games away in hopes of improving draft position.

Thats fine Q.
My opinion isn’t really an IQ test, its basically just observing what we can see when it comes
To Watson.
That’s still an opinion, not an observation.
Saying “starting Watson accomplishes nothing” assumes you already know what Watson is today, what the coaching staff sees every day, and who gives the Browns the best chance to win.
If Watson wins the job and plays well, it accomplishes quite a bit. It gives the Browns their best chance to win games, potentially solves the quarterback position, and avoids having to spend another premium pick and years of development on a rookie QB.
You may believe Watson won’t be that player. That’s a fair opinion. But saying starting him accomplishes
nothing isn’t an observation. It’s a conclusion based on an assumption that he’s already finished as a quarterback.
Dunning Kruger Effect has slapped him silly again..
The Dunning-Kruger response is usually what people resort to when they can’t rebut the actual argument. I lay out facts.
