Browns Watson vs Sanders for QB1

I watched a clip of all the passes to KC, and man if Watson can just hit him where it's supposed to be half the time, that all on it's own might be a game changer with his speed and evasion. I'm worried that KC not getting the ball is going to support his concentration drops evaluation. Repetition is so key for a lot of these young guys, and Watson is failing him, so far.

Some have said on 𝕏, if Sanders were doing this, we’d be praising him.

That is somewhat true, as Sanders gets the benefit of being young and developing with the hope of getting better.

Watson best hope is he has a career resurgence.
Mike Vick is the only other player who somewhat did what he’s trying to do.
And yes, Vick won respectably, but never played a full season, never won a playoff game, and many consider him the greatest dual threat QB of all time.

Watson isn’t Mike Vick in speed or arm strength.
Vick also didn’t stumble through poor play and major injuries upon his return.

Stranger things and all, and I’m fine if he keeps being clutch. I still think there’s a <1% chance he’s our long term answer.

Certainly done would praise Sanders if these were his performances. Which to an extent is fair. Sanders doesn't exactly have a lot of NFL experience.

Some could and have praised Watson for his. Which to an extent is fair. Considering how long it had been since Watson last played, the injuries prior, the suspension, and the sitting out a year.

In either case those are valid reasons to give some benefit to either guy. What it comes down to will be week to week improvement (in film review) and consistency snap to snap, quarter to quarter, and week to week
