Greg Pruit was on Fox8 this AM and he said he thought this was predictable due to the rookies and young guys. His story went whenhe came in he learned from Leroy Kelly who he said was barely taller than him but he was faster than Kelly. He thought it was only a matter of time before he replaced Kelly.
He recounted as a rookie he was put in the game and he had not prepared like he should've because he was the 3rd RB. They called a "22 trap" and he knew where to go and didn't get much. But that was because in the meetings he didn't prepare for the LB of the opposing team. A "22 trap" was supposed to be run with the intent of Pruit, or the other RB's to look for the backside cut. When they called the play again he did that and broke it for a huge TD run.
Anyway it's one game and the early part of this season was always going to be rough. Improvement will come. On top of the the fact that all the HC's don't prepare their teams properly in the pre-season by playing their guys.
