Browns Game Thread Week 5 Oct.11 Browns @ Jets 1PM on CBS

It would be really helpful to get DT Kalia Davis back this Sunday.

I'm guessing Mike Hall will play but for how long before he has to sit down?
Sam Kamara has always been reasonably steady as the 4th DT and I'm sure he will be elevated.

Delpit is on the money. This team is a long way from good... but they fight... WEATHER.... GONNA BE A FACTOR.. Right in the teeth of this hurricane/tropical storm. Heavy wind and downpours... Time to put on the big-boy pants. Don't want to be in the stands for this one.. I get enough rain ... it's like 90 days straight right now.. (philippines rainy season). Ready for the dry season coming soon.

I seriously doubt this game get's into the 20's. I believe 14- 17 points wins this game..and here is why

1. Cleveland Browns at New York Jets (MetLife Stadium) ***** remnants of the hurricane****
  • The Environment: 85%–100% chance of driving, heavy rain with 10–15 mph sustained winds and gusts peaking up to 25 mph. [1, 2, 3]
  • Statistical Passing Expectations:
    • Severe Efficiency Drop: Historical data from The Athletic indicates that when precipitation is combined with winds exceeding 25 mph, overall passing output drops by an average of 36.6%.
    • High-Rate of Incompletions & Drops: Expect short, risk-averse targets. Due to the wet leather, quarterback completion percentages are mathematically modeled to fall by roughly 12%.
    • Elimination of the Deep Ball: Gusts touching 25 mph alter the trajectory of the ball mid-air, making deep boundary throws statistically inefficient and highly prone to turnovers.
**** I suppose this favors the master of the Dink and Dunk... Watson.. LOL .... Needs to run a LOT of RPO's today

I like Monken more & more. He's not overthinking game day roster moves like Stefanski. Waiting until the very last second to let things like the injury report and practice squad elevations be released.

Monken ain't worried about that BS like KS is.

That said let's get this win in the rain. Stop the penalties, ME's and Browns hurting the Browns and we should get the W.

In 15 mph winds and heavy rain Judkins, Mclaughlin, and Sanders better hang onto the damn ball.
Some thinking outside the box would be apropos for this weather.
I'd be tempted to put in Green in the red zone.
Some times as the QB some times as the RB. Just keep it unpredictable.

When I checked the active category on the NFL website roster this AM Green was marked as active. The NFL site probably needs up dating. Maybe the Fullback would be useful in a grind it out game like this. Burton is on the roster on his 12th season.
