Been here from the beginning.
Since Beckham's departure, Jarvis has been rather quiet.
He might be a bit moody and disenchanted. Possibly ready to move on. Would rather he stayed.
Higgins the part timer probably won't be missed if the Browns move on without him.
I can't recall Schwartz catching any long passes. It's his first year. Still developing.
Peoples-Jones seems like the lock in this room. Can he be regarded as a no. 1?
Switzer and Cager are question marks.

So, who do the Browns go after to get a receiver out of the college ranks?

I want that kid Njigba from Ohio State whenever he comes out which will be a year or 2 from now...

Several points.

Whether the Bengals show or not on Sunday, you will see much more efficiency, energy and performance from our receivers. I guarantee it. Mayfield, and nothing else is the problem with the receiving corp. It is amazing that at the beginning of the year everyone was talking about how dangerous our receivers were, and now they are a big pile of shit.

The only pile of shit on the field is Baker Mayfield. Players are not robots, they aren't machines. Players, like all humans are emotional creatures. I don't mean to make this another Baker post, but he IS the fucking problem, all he way around.

Secondly, the Browns keep signing puny receivers. Jaxon Smith-Njigba is a puny reciever. He will fare no better on the Browns than Beckham or Landry. If the Browns are going to sing new WRs, its time to get guy 6'3" - 6' 5' who can create nighmares. We already have a bench full of Njigbas.
 
Multiple targets like a TE too if we don't sign Njoku. Get a FA WR and TE and let Hooper go if salary is a problem.

Then there's always the questions surrounding Baker that Sal Pal discusses too. He lays blame on the coaches, FO and the fact that Baker was hurt. And he loves Derek Carr.

Not to mention, positional importance hasn't yet run rampant. I won't be surprised if we see teams jumping up to grab a quarterback or a pass rusher. We might even see the same occur with the OL.

I've seen some mock drafts in which all receivers are still on the board around the time we pick, and while that's just a mock, it isn't the type you look at in bewilderment.

While that may not happen, it's an excellent first round to need a receiver. Williams, Wilson, London, Olave and Burks are all popular names flying around, and several should still be on the board.
 
Id be happy with a 2nd rd "athlete" QB but we gotta get one somewhere.
zappe will prolly be there in the 3rd rd. he's interesting. just look at that beautiful high arcing touch he has.a great contrast in styles to baker.
If you could bring in zappe in situations that would really confuse the secondary. call me crazy but the kid looks great to me.

Looks like Jameson Williams just tore his ACL against Georgia. I had him neck and neck with Garrett Wilson at WR1 in the 2022 draft.

That fucking sucks. Looking at the draft position, I felt we had a great chance of Wilson or Williams being on the board at 13.

With that said, I 100% would consider taking Williams still. Even if we get one of the other receivers in the draft. He's undoubtedly going to fall in the draft as a result, and he could miss his rookie year, but he's a great talent.

I prefer Wilson before he feels a little more polished, but Olave isn't a wrong answer and might actually have the higher upside over his running mate. I wouldn't at all be disappointed to see him in brown and orange.

Either way, if we get one of them I'm immediately calling for a reunion following the other's rookie deal. #bringhimhome
 
there are 39 WR with over 1,000 yards in 2022. some wont be in the draft but I guess at least half will. so is it deep? very.
skinny thin fast WR we dont need. they will spend their life on IR in the AFCN going over the middle for baker
london could "fill out" as he gets older because that randy moss body type? wont last long here.
given all that? we should draft a QB in rd 1 or BPA.
