Manziel looked better off rip then hoyer. Hoyer qb no chance for manziel. #actlikeabackup but aint thrown pass yet.

Scout team qb for two years no reps at all w team.

If you haven't seen how much he has improved as a player in his last two games getting only 4 starts this far into his career while running "SCOUT TEAM REPS" as well as being benched over and over again w/ practically no freaking receivers or an O-line that is unable to block he has done enough to EARN the starting QB job atleast for the rest of the season.

That is my personal opinion..I don't why all the Browns fans can "TRUST" this shitty coaching staff's judgement on anything especially on the most important position in the NFL which is the QB.

Actually, how about this an argument could be made that Browns OFFICIALLY SUCK at developing younger players that they draft especially QB's..I won't even trust anything this coaching staff has to say about any player IMO. It is not the players anymore, it has been the HC, DC, GM who stink and have no freaking idea on how to develop a QB. Once again we don't have a freaking Rodgers or Brady ahead of the young QB you drafted in the 1st round. If the HC hates him, then trade him. Enough is enough.

Let's see who is the next QB that the Browns draft but end up ruining him and his career.

I agree. Trade or cut him! I disagree he has improved enough to earn a starting role. He looks like a deer in the headlights when trying to read a defense when the ball is snapped. Reminds me of "he who should not be named"

That's a little harsh. Like Josh Gordon, though, Manziel needs to hang out with better quality people than those mindless, self-centered, drunken bimbos from central Texas. A girl worth something would say to Johnny, "I love you and I'm not going to drink alcohol around you because I care."

I merely said an argument could be made. He has 1/3 of the 12 starts to satisfy the Quinn rule which is, I believe, a good number of starts to know what you have. His ability to extend a play is inmate innate and a result of his intuition and physical gifts, it's what he is best at. He needs to make more compete passes, he needs to play though. I've seen enough of Mr. Dink and Dunk.

I just think there's a certain reality people don't want to consider with Manziel... He just might not be that good.

32 starts that 2 seasons to see what a guy has. That's what it should be.

Remember I said "SHOULD"

Eli Manning got 48 starts before he started looking competent... once it clicked he went on a roll

No idea where this notion that it took Eli 48 starts to have things "click" for him came from.

Eli might look like he just ate a spoonful of shit sometimes but it didn't take him 3 years to have the NFL game "click".
