Browns Vrabel to join Stefanski's staff

Yeah, I like Vrabel, seems like a dude. That said, they are setting up a HC controversy. A lot fans hate KS when he’s winning, imagine when they are on a back to back losing streak. Should be interesting!

Stefanski is the only Browns coach in the last 50+ years to win coach of the year, and he's done it twice. I'm not going to throw that away very quickly. Even if he ends up in a CEO type of roll, which basically means the DC and OC are calling the plays, which is a common thing in the NFL, I'll support him for a while.

What was McDermott's excuse last year? 100% healthy o-line and a 100% healthy Josh Allen, and he had a bad slump in the middle to barely make the playoffs.

Stefanski had 1 starting o-lineman who was healthy all year, and often the back-ups even ended up on IR, let alone the 5 QB thing.

Having said all of that, I get the desire for Vrabel. A fantastic addition.

A two time coach of the year, the reigning DC of the year, and Vrable on one staff, I think we can all agree, is a wonderful thing to have.

Every Bills fan is asking the same thing.

I have yet to see anything Stefanski has done well, other than doing as he is told. And I guess that is a good quality when your organization is put together like ours is.

He was hired as an offensive coach. His offense failed spectacularly.

Now it has been redesigned and Stefanski doesn't do anything but give locker room speeches. I'm fine with it, and excited to see if maybe Schwartz does not have to keep this team afloat this season. All we need is average out of our offense.

Would I rather have Vrabel ....of course!

5 different QB's and we still went to the playoffs is pretty good coaching. Of course the offense is going to suffer and look subpar at times. And before Watson BM was up and down but KS relied on Chubb. Last year he couldn't rely on Chubb and if he had been hurt KS damn well would've been feeding him more than ever.

Anyway, KS seemed to out think himself at times or make odd play calls. It's likely the FO saw that and spoke to him about adding a new OC that KS is comfortable with. I'm just tossing shit out there cause idk for sure, but that seems like a reasonable guess.
