I would like to address that comment if I may. Although it is generally considered that the US has been hit harder than the rest of the world, I believe that this perception is largely a creation of the US media. I copied the following charts from a YouTube video from a Dr. Campbell who is a UK doctor.I understand you guys are going through a terrible ordeal right now with this disease
the worlds thoughts and prayers are with you all. sincerely.
Dr. Campbell first showed a chart for total number of cases for the Americas and the US of course had the most cases by far. However, he then showed this chart in cases per million people (which I have chosen to show here since there was no comparable total cases chart for Europe. A quick scan of the current number of cases in the US per million people is about 170 cases per million people. Argentina is higher, Columbia is slightly lower and so is Brazil and Canada as shown on the chart:

Note that I am a little put off by the bottom scale which counts the day since confirmed cases reached 1 per million population. I would have preferred and alignment based on actual dates. But, never mind, it is a small objection.
Next, he showed a chart for Europe in cases per million people. If you look to the scale, you find a difference in the scale from the one for the Americas. Right now, the number of cases for the Czech Republic is near 700. Seems to me that some European countries are being hit much harder than us right now. Seems to me that the main difference is that a dominate US media has emphasized the US problem out of proportion. That is not to minimize the problem in the US. We have a large diverse country with major transportation hubs which tend to promote the spread of the disease, and, certainly, we do have a problem with the virus.

But, based on the data, as I read it, I would submit that proportionally, it is not as great currently as some have made it out to be. Deaths, for example are dropping faster in the US than in the world at large.
