Show me that stat. thank you ........He was drafted by Koby
Defensively, Cleveland’s rating with Okoro on the court usually fell between 111–117 points allowed per 100 possessions, compared to roughly 113 per 100 when he was off... meaning his defensive impact fluctuated from slightly positive in some seasons (notably 2022–23 at ~111.6) to slightly negative in others. The net result is that his overall on-court net rating was generally neutral to mildly negative across most seasons.
Isaac Okoro’s on-court offensive rating generally ranged from 104–114 points per 100 possessions, while the Cavaliers’ offense without him typically sat higher, around 109–118 per 100, indicating the team often scored more efficiently when he was off the floor.
You ran all that together. paragraphs. I thought you were the fancy writer.
I am a lot of things... a fancy writer is certainly not one of them. I would rate my writing skills around a 6/10. I am a much more fancy talker. I could debate and argue better in person, verbally than ever can writing. I just do the best I can writing.
My point wasn't that Ball was an answer. My point was, at the time, Garland had an injury and we needed a back-up PG. Ball was an affordable option who wasn't a bad distributor. He wasn't brought to Cleveland to be an "answer" or player to get the Cavs to the championship. Just a much needed depth addition.
Trading him got us within $4M of getting below the 2nd Apron - which looked impossible at the start of the season. We can now make a trade that can put us under the apron - which is shrewd business by Koby.
So you don't understand how work works.
I understand very well how this works. Basketball salary caps aren't like football salary caps.
If the Cavs would have resigned Jerome, it would have been around that $28M-$30M mark. It would have put the Cavs over $90M into the luxury tax.. and so deep into the 2nd Apron that the Cavs would not have been able to make any trades this year... which Gilbert would not sign off on. The Cavs would have been stuck in limbo with a team that needed help and could not make moves to get the help. Koby can't make a move that the owner will not sign off on. He doesn't have that kind of power.
Not yet. but will admit it, if it happens.
So far, your Harden takes are aging very poorly.
You showing up over here out of the blue, while I have a decade of reputation behind me. I do so by not attacking others. just pointing out facts.
Isaac Okoro had a defensive rating of 117.3 in his rookie season in 2020-21.

I don't show up out of the blue. I've been on this board since 2013. But am very busy. I have 3 kids... and a career. I am in and out and show up when there are actually things to discuss. As far as the Cavs go, I was very bored with this season... and the team wasn't good... they were going to get knocked out in the 2nd round at best. Trading for Harden (and the move made prior for Ellis and Schroder) brought some excitement and hope to the season. The Cavs are actually worth watching again.
