NFL Baker to the Panthers for a 2024 (conditional) 5th rounder

He's good enough to make the playoffs and win a couple games with a solid team around him. He's not good enough to win it all. He is what he is.... and it's not a championship caliber NFL QB.
I disagree to a point.

Many average QB's have SB rings. BM, like those QB's need help and he will not be the guy a team rally's around, but he can easily be the QB to extend momentum created by another player and pull out a SB win.

That is such BS after we just watched Sam Darnold win a Super Bowl. We were wrong on Baker. I call it the GOAT delusion. Tom Brady is gone. It's over.
yep
Many teams go about looking for the Next Legend QB. about outlawing a Good QB. it wasn't like that so much last century, teams found a good one and stayed with them. bring in a rookie and let them learn and compete, while not tossing out their guy.

You can disagree until the cows come home. The actual facts and play on the field have all proven me correct up to this point in his career... both in college and the NFL. He simply can't win the big games even with a massive amount of talent around him. You Browns fans should finally be able to come to grips with this.

I agree with BM's career to this point the same as I'd have with Trent Dilfer's career until the point he won his SB. Or more recently Sam Darnold. Until he won his SB. Those facts are with me.

Trent Dilfer played in a different era of NFL football. Not too mention you can't claim two exception in order to try and prove your point. The exception proves the rule.

Do better.

Dilfer because he was a Raven is all. Sam Darnold because he's recent but I guess you didn't see that.

Irregardless...I'm not a huge BM fan like others here. Just that a team can win with him.

Baker is better, by a lot, than any QB we've had since he left. There's no rational argument that we wouldn't be better off had we kept him, a lot better off. Seems like many Browns fans have Stockholm syndrome. The team has abused them for so long they can't see it and give them a pass no matter how stupid the move.

That wasn’t the argument. But appreciate the talk.
