Browns fan newbie...
I was born and raised in Houston, TX, and I attended Texas A&M in College Station, TX. I grew up a huge fan of the Oilers and a huge hater of everything Cowboys. My Oilers loyalty was strong, and until Bud Adams abandoned our city and left for Tennessee, there was no other NFL team for me. Once we got the Texans, I was cautiously optimistic to have a team again, though them not coming back as the Oilers burned my chaps (once again, Bud Adams wouldn't release the name). In the 12 years of their existence, they have given me zero reasons to get behind them. The owner is not concerned with whether the fans like the team. He is just looking to sell tickets and they do sell out. Then, last night, during the draft, I did not blame the Texans for taking Clowney, as he is a consensus top pick. However, the fact that they made no attempt to move up and get Manziel, a once in a lifetime potential Texas kid, who was born and raised in Texas, and who attended Texas A&M, home of the original 12th Man, and they are dead to me. I know what you guys are getting in Johnny. He is a die hard, no nonsense winner. And, I think Cleveland is going to love him. He does not quit...he always fights for that extra inch, foot, yard, TD...and he makes everyone around him better. His winning is contagious, and your team is about to enjoy one he** of a ride! Gig Em Browns...After 12 years in limbo, I feel like I have a TEAM to root for. Your reactions last night as Johnny's name was read gave me chills and let me know how much the Dawg Pound appreciates football. Manziel may be what got me here, but I'm now a Browns fan.
