Browns Game Thread Browns at Eagles Oct. 13 @ 1:00 PM

The O Line isn't great but Watson is still terrible. I think the dude just has a bad aura in general around him that drags the team down.

Maybe I'll feel different during the Pittsburgh and Rats games but I could care less if the team loses out.

And the board seems to feel the same way with how few posts there are on the thread.

Watson 11/12 in the second half.

Multiple chances to win, coach called plays that made you wonder if he is trying to get fired. But he has been doing this for 5 years.

Fire the coach, GM, and baseball guy at the bye. Elevate Schwartz and then decide how to move forward at seasons end. New Coach/GM have to decide what they want to do about Watson, no more yes men who answer to the baseball guy.

I was at the game. Watson cannot see the field. It's as simple as that. His completions are gimmes. Screens or short slants. Sometimes he even misses those too. Ex. 1st pass to Cooper. Should Cooper have caught it. I guess, but he made a simple pass far more difficult by shooting a bullet high. Another example was a bizarre pass where he overshoot a wide open WR (Cooper I think) where even the defenders looked confused.

Usually though, he'll run. Sometimes into sacks. Sometimes he'll get a yard or two. A few times this game he actually had good gains. But if Watson is sitting back there on a 3rd down, he'll most likely run, clean pocket or not.

I am not discounting the line play. It wasn't good. The penalties were brutal. But for the entirety of the game we had pitiful passing yardage. And that starts with Watson, who is not physically broken. It's mental and potentially preparation.

So, are you expecting Vrabel to end up in Columbus?
A 1 point loss to Oregon wouldn't justify tossing Day.
A loss to Michigan might. But it would still seem unlikely.

Who cares. Everyone knows we are a mess. Nobody will take the job as long the baseball guy is here. At least nobody worth hiring. We already did that once and went with the yes-man. Plenty will take it if given the power they desire.
Meanwhile the guy they dumped in favor of AB has influenced the Lions organization in a hugely positive way and look like a SB contender.
That being John Dorsey who was let go because he wanted nothing to do with Depodesta and Haslem chose Depodesta. And subsequently chose AB, etc, etc.

Dorsey did have his problems as a GM, no doubt but they found a spot for him to excel. Senior Personnel Executive. That team is loaded now.

Another annoying thing about Watson is that during the TV Timeouts he would hang out with Philly's defense. It was startling to see our QB nonchalantly chat with the opposing team in the middle of a game. He seems pretty popular among NFL Players.

This was contrasted with Hurts, who would be throwing passes with his WRs and backup QB (Pickett) on the side in a 4-way drill.

Someone is trying to get fired. I’d listen to that argument. There’s a disconnect somewhere.

I saw Watson on the sideline and noted he was not in any way interested in motivating teammates or in what the D was doing nothing. He never once stood next to KS or any of the coaches to give the appearance he's interested in the game/winning.

I said in the Bengals thread the fans will mutiny if this team looks like shit Sunday and it could get ugly.

I'm thinking the FO & KS will stay in it's bunker as long as possible before firing anyone and the one to fire right now is Watson but they need approval from Jimmy. A Ken Dorsey firing is a BS just for show move.

I’m convinced this current structure with the current coach/gm/president/owner/qbs will never succeed.

Letting go of Flacco and Hunt was not a popular decision. Did our running game look slightly better onceFord went out?
