If you're juiceless, you're useless
Things I've been impressed with,
1. John Dorsey was going to have to overpay for free agents. We all accepted and knew this. Guess what, he hasn't had to.
2. Why? Because the Demarious-Tyrod-Juice worked. Smart.
3. All of our free agents have been at predicted market value, and fill needs.
4. Do you know who is overpaying? The Ravens. Big time. They're perceived to be stumbling along without trajectory.
5. Solder - oft injured, and yes, above avg, but getting elite money. Nice non-panic move by Dorsey.
6. The middle class. Joe Thomas has talked about this for years, often referencing Greco. JD must be like-minded. Our depth and middle class needed upgrading.
7. The players
a) Jarvis - I'm still stunned. For the pick obtained by trading a punter.
b) Tyrod - addressed our biggest problems, QB play and TO's, and at the appropriate price
c) Randall - flexible first rounder who Dorsey knows.
d) Hubbard - handpicked by Haley and the Stillers fans were pissed
e) Stephenson - known to Dorsey, "the Drango upgrade" for depth, which is fine
f) Chris Smith* - for GGG's pass rush, rotational, "the Orchard upgrade"
g) Carlos Hyde - Haley is used to vets, I like this move, solid.
h) Fells - a "young 31" due to a European baseketball carreer, he's 6'7", and was considered the best blocking TE available.
i) Mitchell - a depth corner, not starter money. Combined with Randall, the two had 8 INT's last year.
The entire Browns team had 7.
j) Carrie - starter money, high-end PFF'er, young, from Ohio Univ. A more than serviceable addition
8. Could have overpaid TP by now. Hasn't. TP is up to his old tricks on asking price. I don't mind having TP back, but on 100% Dorsey's terms.
9. Could have sent one of our 1st or 2nd rounders somewhere, didn't. Nice.
10. Summary - so far, he's performing like a true vet.
Most of us are done predicting SuperBowls, playoffs, winning records, or hell, even more wins based on off season moves, so we'll see, but so far, so good. It appears he's working like a dog, and CBD saying as much as 60% of the roster will be new.

None has all the features Dorsey wants. Probably doesn't mean that he won't draft a QB. Just means that none are perfect.
