Browns LB coach Jason Tarver is one of the three finalists for Cleveland’s defensive coordinator vacancy.
Cleveland’s Mary Kay Cabot identified Texans defensive pass game coordinator Cory Undlin and Falcons defensive pass game coordinator Mike Rutenberg as the other two finalists earlier today. Tarver has been in his current role since 2020. Cabot believes new Browns head coach Todd Monken could hire the team’s new defensive coordinator by Monday or Tuesday.

Met up with my ticket rep today at Browns stadium and did a locker room tour etc.
Says he was at a VIP dinner last night.
Said Monken talked a lot about fixing the O-line for Shedeur, and getting weapons for Shedeur.
I was like, wait, “so it’s going to be Shedeur?”
He replied with a nodding smile “oh yeah, for sure”. Fwiw.
A few more tidbits
1. Monken truly is there 12 hours a day since hired. All ball, is a legit description.
2. And Schwes, the same. All ball. Says he’s a very quiet guy.
3. Dudes. That’s one small lockeroom. I’d say it’s maybe twice the size of a very average high school locker room. My local high school’s lockeroom (D3) is twice as big.

Monk has shown he has the respect of NFL circles for sure. Took those he wanted from Harbaugh's staff, and is getting NFL wheelhouse types as well.
Nothing flashy, but that's not him. I'd at least call all of his hires solid.
