Browns New dome progress thread

Was always about getting some $ out of Haslam for the city.
BTW, last Sunday's game proved, once again, that we don't have a home field advantage by being outside.
The Californians handled it better.

I was at the game Sunday and even with an indoor stadium half the battle being downtown is getting to the stadium once you park.

I imagine the onsite parking is going to reduce the ‘damage’ getting from your vehicle to inside a nice and toasty stadium!

Tailgate in the airport parking garage. There's a couple of hotels at Snow Rd & I71 possibly that is a short walk to the stadium. The Brookpark Rd rapid station parking lot is across the street. People will find a way get hammered before the game. Have faith!

Just think if we were moving from a wide open parking lot to the skinny shitty parking lots that everyone uses for tailgaiting now.

The muni lot is historic, but let's face it. It geographically sucks. A small skinny lot by the tracks. Yes, it's near and dear and all, but man, it has to be the oddest revered spot in the NFL.

Yeah, parking, egress, home crowd noise. Literally everything will be better.
Sure, I wish it could have been downtown, but if you followed everything, it just wasn't doable while catching up with the modern NFL.
Absolutely nothing will be better. This is Cleveland, not pampered ass Los Angeles. Haslam should focus more on winning football games and less on rebranding uniforms and helmets every few years, lame AF some stadiums and all of that garbage.

Kansas is putting up 1.8 billion towards the new Chiefs stadium.

The Browns are getting a $600 million loan via the state's unclaimed funds, which they will repay, and $300 million from the city of Brook Park, which will be recuperated via on-site (thus voluntary) sales taxes. Haslams are responsible for all overages.

Also, the Haslams are paying for the 16 acre new Berea complex, which will end up around $200-250 million. Zero public funding.

We all here know all of this, but it's a reminder that the Haslams hardly took advantage of their position.
Yes, tickets will be more, but that's just the world now a days. It's either that, or turn into a city less and less sports teams.
