Pick #35 Nick Chubb

"Old School". I like it.

Here in Aiken SC it’s all gamecocks, Clemson and Georgia news. From everything I’ve seen, Chubb is legit. We’ve put some so-so players out there..Gurley, Watson, Clowney. He seems part of the crowd. Too bad that SC QB was not😎

Theres alot of Chubb love here....

But I get a feeling everyone is seriously underrating Carlos Hyde

If not for injury, Carlos Hyde would probably be a top 5 NFL back every year, hes just unreliable from an injury/health standpoint...

Its obvious why too..

Hyde has a very violent, Marion Barber type running style with alot more wiggle...

Hyde will be our #1

Carlos Hyde is in his twilight years.. Don't get to enamored.. The young guns are gonna play.. And the only reason Hyde is here is because Crow associated himself with cop killing and muslim bullshit.. Don't kid yourself any... Theres the reason the Browns let Crow walk.. But you know publicly.. They won't say that...

Zeitler, when asked about Chubb, said Chubb is a very serious person. Not a lot of levity. All work.

And hates the ice. Lol.

The Browns world is starting to beat the drum for Nick Chubb. Everyone starting to re-post "told you so" articles.

(of course, Pete hated the Jarvis signing and the Harrison promotion, but we'll let that slide for the moment)

He doesn't have enough carries to qualify for grading, but if he did, well, the math is fun for the hot second - he'd be the top graded back.

My scouting report for Nick Cjhubbhttps://t.co/vGKJY8gXme
— Pete Smith (@_PeteSmith_) October 2, 2018

Yea, I called him another Crowell but with TRich's vision earlier in this thread.

It's just one game out of 4 regular season games, where four preseason games and the first 3 regular season games made me look like an Alstrodamus...

-Al ... time will tell, but let's not get too hung up on one game... like Timmy Smith and Jerome Harrison...

Wish he could block. Very encouraging to see him break off huge runs, but his effectiveness (element of surprise if you will) of him carrying the ball 20 times a game may go down, and if his appearance in the line-up sets off "This is a run play" alarms to the defense, then that would hurt us also.

I am guessing Hyde, given the same amount of carries is at a much lower risk of negative yardage plays.

With that said, negative yardage plays didn't keep Barry out of the hall.

From one of the first OTAs reporters said Chubb looked markedly faster and more explosive than Hyde... and I'd add that's just about the least shocking report ever. Chubb IS quite a bit faster and more explosive than Hyde. Before his injury, he was basically talked about like Saquone, a generational talent at RB.

He's healthy and man did it show on those two runs. Hyde is what I'd call "a quality back." He's not a star and in today's passing league, that can be fine. But Chubb is on another level.

Chubb and Saquon have many of the same metrics.

Same bench reps at 29
Same 20 yard shuttle at 4.24
Chubb squats 600+, Saquon 500
Chubb a 4.5 forty, Saquon 4.4

Peronally, I think Chubb's vision is better.
