THE 2021 NFL SEASON IS OFFICIALLY OVER FOR THE CLEVELAND BROWNS.thoughts?

Chase and Higgins are studs with or without Burrow. Those two will help make any QB look good.

Deebo wasn't make by Jimmy G. Hill wasn't made by Patty.

No QB makes a WR faster.
Balogna. A wr doesn't have a good enough QB, they suffer. Without a franchise QB none of those WRs have a fraction of the production they currently do. I said nothing about speed. Speed can be had all over the draft. QBs that can deliver bombs and dimes to them consistently are rare.

Franchise QBs routinely turn WRs who would otherwise be average into stars. They get them paid. If a QB isn't good enough, no wr is elevating a bad QB into an all pro ...sorry.

A franchise QB can make average WR’s look great. None of those Guys I mentioned are average. Chase, Higgins, Hill,… are all elite, not average. Those guys can make any QB look good.

I feel like we mythologise the quarterback position. It's the hardest position in sports, and we routinely see the Browns just expect the guy to go it alone. Baker's been our most successful quarterback in an eternity, and you could argue Odell and Jarvis are the most help a quarterback has had. Josh Gordon made magic happen with Weeden and Campbell. On the rare instances we find ourselves with a good receiver, it typically works out well.

Look at the guys around Burrow, Stafford and Allen. They got support at the WR position at a time when it is absolutely needed most because they can benefit from the rule changes.

Nobody is saying a WR can made just any old quarterback great, but I don't know why we like to pretend just anyone will do at WR.

We need significant investment there. Period.

Justin Jefferson is 2nd in the NFL in yards & 4th in the league in receptions. Shitty QB throwing yo him.

Jaylon Waddle is 8 in receptions & has over 1000 yards. No QB in

DJ Moore, Amon-Ra St Brown, Brandon Cooks…all 90+ receptions with no QB.

Michael Pittman, Terry McLaurin, Darnell Mooney…all over 1000 yards with no QB.

talented WR’s still produce with shitty QB’s in the NFL

We gave Baker one of the best WR duos in football. He couldn't make it work. Allen turned absolute zeros into absolute heroes. He has his #1. And brought up everyone else. If Burrow sucked, one of those WRs would be eating, but they wouldn't have made the playoffs. Stafford has two great wrs in Kupp and Obj. But why did they have to get rid of Goff to get back to the show.

WRs do not make the QB. Ever.

how did #80 jerry rice become the WR GOAT? oh thats right,he had back to back HOF QB's.
did rice ever win a SB without a HOF QB?

LMFAO! when? webster slaughter? BTW a 2nd rd pick at #43. look at ruggs. great players and high picks dont always go together
and why havent we had great WR play in the past? case (keenum) and point? no great QB's throwing the football.

Just a litany of bad arguments that pop up every time someone suggests we invest in a receiver. No offence, but I've heard it a million times and it's always eyerolling.

Jerry Rice actually sucked but was made by Montana and Young. Receivers are found everywhere. Don't draft receivers high because they'll kill someone or get hurt. Find the next Tom Brady, then give the janitor a contract and he'll be a pro-bowler.

Basically, don't use draft picks on anyone but quarterback because everyone else is meaningless. Yawn.

I'm not against getting a WR at 13 either. Especially if we find a QB that can get him the ball. Otherwise, wasted pick. Baker was allegedly at his best when Landry was the best WR on the field. He seems to have trouble with #1 stud WRs who want the ball all the time.

Jimmy G in the playoffs: 2 TD, 3 INT, 58% comp and 51.9 QBR. That's terrible. Horrible actually. SF was successful despite Jimmy G, not because of Jimmy G.
Garoppolo had a strong regular season but finished the season on a downward turn after sustaining a torn ligament in his right thumb on Dec. 23 against the Tennessee Titans.
Garoppolo said there is “absolutely” a part of him that is looking for a fresh start away from the constant chatter about whether he or Lance is the best person for the present and future of the organization.
.-nbc sports

so for all you naysayers (who say nah-nah) who dont like the idea of drafting a QB behind mayfield just watch how the niners come out of this. jimmy will go for 2 or maybe 3 1st rd picks. would I trade baker for JG and 2 1st rd picks? YES! and Id still draft a QB in this upcoming draft. If we got JG? we'd be a contender again. 4 years 1 SB appearance and 1 NFC game.

such is the need around the NFL. Is he worth that? a bonefide NFL starting QB? I think so.in todays NFL climate? yes.
would you though pull the trigger on a baker trade and 2 x 1st's? then load up in the draft with players around him?
I would pack his sh^t myself and drive him to california. our roster is strong.we dont need all that draft capital for the holes we have.

Best post ever. Big brain energy. I love it.

jimmy G has the 2nd highest completion % in the history of the NFL. behind drew brees. thats @10% better than BM.
the NFL world seems down on him right now but he just went to a SB and an NFC game within 4 years.
had that DB caught that INT it would be 2 x SB's. jimmyG is under-rated because of his playoff numbers LOL but hes in the playoffs right?
we couldnt get 1 x 2nd rd pick for baker. hes SO GREAT! right uncle sarcasm?
as we speak the browns scout team are at the senior bowl shopping for a QB,you all LOL when I said that a month ago.
you guys are out of yo mind If you cant figure out who is the better QB.JG or BM? OFF JG had bugger all in SF. compared to the CB roster.
and he still won football games.

I don't know if this offense is the easiest offense seeing as the 49er's run the same thing are one game from the SB. That shows that this offense is a very capable offense in today's NFL on some level.

The penalties also are drive killers. That's what KS needs to address because it's been that way for two years now. False Starts, Illegal Formations and BM refusing to take the check down are three things they all can work on and if we were to eliminate just that this offense looks remarkably better.
The offenses may be very similar and capable, but the catalysts are the playcaller and the qb.......

Its bloody steep.not goin to lie.just think plugging him in to our OFF would be like stafford in LA.instant contender.yup hes hurt all the time.
thats why Id still burn our '22 2nd rd pick on a backup QB as well.strong, zappe or ridder. I would do it myself but I geddit that others would not. prolly safer to keep baker and draft his backup TBH. either way we get some new life in our QB room which is the important thing.

theres going to be a run on QB's this draft. last year? 5 in the top 15.this year is going to be relatively even worse. yeah Its crazy but Its where the NFL is at right now.Id like to think we could get strong or zappe in the 2nd rd but I dunno. 12 teams to play QB musical chairs with @9 spots max.
unless teams want to settle with darnold, bridgewater, winston or haskins that is.some will have to.
I dont think we even have a choice but to draft a QB in the 1st. which is why burning them picks on JG is not so crazy afterall, given all that.
