If you're juiceless, you're useless
Fuuuuuu .......... I hate this.
On Watson,
Probably the most hated CLE sports figure of the century
It was 2020 when he was last good
There simply is no precedent whereby any player in any sport took time off and returned to glory after a 5 year hiatus
Especially when that hiatus was filled with personal conduct issues, multiple achilles tears, and oh when healthy, shitty play
And, are the Browns really going to hand him a new contract if he wins, say, 10 games?
And if a 2nd contact isn't possible, WTF are we doing?
Or, is this pumping up Watson for a trade? Doubtful.
Grossi saying he can't recall a Browns player as popular as Sanders since Bernie. Nationally, he's easily the most popular Browns player of the century.
We are sooooo going to start Watson. You can just tell.
I get Monken, and every football coach, wants to win this year and every year. But still, I can't stand the Watson idea. And I defended the move for years, until he sucked.
The team is banking on winning will solve everything amongst fans. Maybe it will.
But this is a fan base who rooted against home town Hoyer to get 1st round Manzel on the field. Against D.A. to get first round Quinn on the field.
So, we have the very popular Sanders on a rookie deal vs the most disliked Cleveland athlete of the century. Many still see him as a 1st round talent.
I'm sure it'll work out just fine.
Oh, and take each players non-football drama out of the equation, I'm not convinced the 2026 Watson gives us a better chance to win vs 2026 Sanders. 2018-2020 Watson? Sure, but everything points to that version never coming back.
