PLAYER STATS

ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi reports Deshaun Watson has thrown six interceptions in four training camp practices.

It’s hard to put too much stock into practice stats, but if there’s one thing coaching staffs won’t tolerate from the quarterback position it’s turnovers. “It’s multiple -- they’re doing all types of different stuff, showing us different things,” Watson said of Cleveland’s defense. Watson and Shedeur Sanders remain in competition for the No. 1 quarterback job at this point, though it certainly seems like Sanders (who has been picked once per Oyefusi) is off to a better start.

The post-practice YouTubers are saying Sanders is extending his lead.
It seems if there’s been any movement, it’s been Gabriel gaining on Watson.

This tweet is gonna hang around for a while 🤣:

“Deshaun Watson is a mess. Slow processing, presnap penalties galore, inconsistent accuracy. I doubt it’s going to be better when defenders are actually allowed to chase him down and hit him.”

- Daryl Ruiter

Gabriel has been out playing the other 2 QBs, why not the same energy for the little guy?

He’s going against the 3’s and 4’s, his play last year showed almost no flashes, and I’m thinking having a slightly sharper jot from the huddle to the line isn’t enough to make a move up the depth chart.

Green has the best completion % by far, ftr.
