NFL Draft Who do the Browns want for a Receiver from the 2022 draft.

Wilson and Olave are basically the same route runners except Wilson creates more separation. Wilson actually created the most separation of any WR in the draft per PFF. He also is better in traffic and after the catch.

I would put Olave #4 after Wilson, Burks and Williams.
Separation is the second most important trait next to catching the ball for WR's in my opinion.

Agreed and according to the Buckeyes WR coach Olave's is elite. Doesn't jump off the screen at you because he has a long stride and is a smooth runner, which is why people like QCT thought he was slower than he is.

Coach didn't say the same about Wilson.

The other thing he went on and on about is the locker room leadership. Olave is that guy ....if Landry is gone who is that guy for the Browns? I think Olave will be gone before we draft, maybe Wilson as well ...so it's a non starter. If they are both gone, hello Pickett. 😆

William and Godwin being resigned/tagged doesn't help us much. We can't target them in free agency, and they aren't joining teams picking below us who might snatch my dream of landing Wilson.

On the bright side, Denver acquiring Wilson (Pending Wilson's okay) has Seattle picking at 9. I'm thinking Carolina at 6, Seattle at 9 and Washington at 11 could create a quarterback vacuum which could suck someone in. Or multiple teams. With any luck, it helps talent fall to us.

CLE is only on the hook for 16M to Juice of he is on the roster. If they release him now or after June 1 doing so saves 15M on the cap, and takes a 1.5M hit in dead cap

so you're in the "lets cut our best receiver" camp too?

The problem with Landry isn't that he's not good enough, or not our best receiver. The problem is his yearly salary is sitting between Cooper Kupp and Stefon Diggs.

You can hate Baker Mayfield without pretending Landry's salary belongs in that range.

We need an overhaul. We have one of the slowest wide receiver rooms in the league, and Higgins and Landry seem to have fallen out of favour. It just doesn't make sense to pay that much to a guy who isn't a true #1 and is at a point where his best days might be behind him.

There is literally zero chance we draft Willis at 13. Zero. FTR - he's shorter than Baker; less accurate than Baker; has worse pocket presence and awareness than Baker; has zero touch his throws and came from an air raid (which brings another list of issues). Kid has a cannon, but so did Jamarcus Russell.

Bobby Wagner is 32 years old. If you want to sign a FA LB, you go after Hicks, not Wagner.

We can be 'off the hook' for 'juice' if we want to be. Navigating the salary cap is something his FO has done very well so far. go Bitching about that isn't a good look when the new year NFL year hasn't even started and they haven't even made their first move yet.

WTF are you talking about? we agreed and signed juice to that deal.we already agreed to it. no ones pretending anything.
