Odell is a dumbass... And apparently does not know how to manage finances... Case and point... My stepmother never finished school or went to college... She had various barmaid and factory jobs throughout life.. But every year... She managed to buy great Christmas presents for the family on my Fathers side every year and keep a house full of people fed everyday... She never took vacations anywhere.. Her and my Father sacrificed a lot for us. We were barely a middle class family on both incomes.. We grew our own produce every year. When my father had a stroke she carried him for the rest of his life on almost nothing until he died..
 
Same here. My mom grew up during the depression and she saved everything. Nothing went to waste, no vacations unless we drove to Gma's house outside Buffalo. She fed us as best she could and sewed holes in our socks & pants on top of working for CTS, now RTA. My dad struggled to keep one decent family car running. It wasn't easy.

I think my parents would've kicked my ass if I ever said anything like OBJ did with the little bit I have now!

You know how much of an nfl salery goes to taxes, an agent, nutrition... the guys are basically playing voluntarilly.

All jokes aside. If you have no money management skills, no money in the world will keep you rich.
Some people are destined to be poor.

And the cautionary tales are out there in abundance. Something like 70% of ex-NFL athletes are broke or financially stressed.
 
This kid is still a possibility if his medicals can be resolved and he has a good workout in Berea.
That's information we will never get access to but is critical in his case.
