Yah, as I told nickers I can't move the posts on my phone. Maybe we can pay some enslaved kid in China to do it like Nike does? Or people can just follow a simple rule.

Limited functionality on the phone does suck. I've about given up trying to do much on here on a phone. I usually just wait until I'm at a desktop computer at work or at home. Consequently, I've got 4 different ways to check in here.

According to the incident report, police in Deerfield Beach, Florida, reported getting a call of a naked man walking near a school, later to be determined as a children's learning center that was in session. McDowell then fled, but eventually was shocked with a Taser and handcuffed. The officer said his right eye was nearly closed because of swelling from the punches he absorbed in the attack and there is a "likelihood that I sustained permanent injury to my eye.''

... that isn't normal. There is something very wrong there. It's either mental illness, a legitimate cognitive injury sustained in the accident he had as a rookie, or an issue with drugs or alcohol.

It's just sad. The guy is done, he's not going to play football again, but hopefully something changes for him as a person.

I would. Anyone who did even a 30 second Google search could find out that McDowell was a criminal piece of shit. It was all out there. The charges, the arrest and the jail time. You don't "hope they turn the corner" and give them a contract. You don't even have them on your trajectory. That is 100% on Berry.

Same. On the phone it's pretty much just looking around the sight and following a different conversation until I get in front of my desktop, laptop or notepad.

I disagree. There just isn't an NFL team which operates on a system of moral exclusivity. Every NFL team rolls the dice on character. McDowell has previously been charged with being in possession of a stolen car, DUI and resisting arrest. Berry couldn't predict he'd ultimately end up completely naked, in school, on a rampage.

I think it's unfair to judge based on the circumstances, too. There is footage of McDowell at a gym speaking with people, taking a tour, seeming completely normal. Less than an hour lately he is completed naked in public. And the footage of the arrest is concerning. Just doesn't look like a guy in his right mind. I don't think that's just a criminal piece of shit. Something is really wrong there.

I had a debate about something similar many years ago with my Uncle... Rob Halford and Judas Priest were in court over some kid committing suicide after listening to a Judas Priest song..... I couldn't get across to him that it wasn't the song that killed the kid... The kid had problems that ran much deeper than that... And he just couldn't accept that. My Uncle is from Europe and set in his ways...

This isn’t going to define Berry one way or another. If we’ve learned one thing with all the available information is that the NFL has more marginal people than your standard business…..

I haven't seen anything on a diagnosed mental illness, to be fair. So I acknowledge I'm spitballing on his mental health.

I think the arrest video said a lot. The cops were quite gentle with him for a guy who had just attacked a cop and was naked at a preschool. They seemed concerned, were talking to him, giving him his own space but not letting him stand up. Credit to the cops for their handling of the situation. We know attacking a cop can have lethal consequences. It's only a short video, but it's enough to see they did a fantastic job of looking after him.

Just a sad end to the story. He won't have a future with the Browns, but I hope the team is willing to support his recovery efforts.

Thats been an issue with the Browns for quite a while now. Most noteably Josh Gordon. Wtf do they do this over and over? While they are hoping these types of players pan out, they are wasting roster spots.......

Because they think "it will be different here. We will prop up and support the young criminal and he will stop breaking the law." It fails every single time but hey, they will keep on keeping on with signing trash like McDowell.
 
I just read on another thread somebody said the Browns should add these guys cause there will not be a single team in the NFL that doesn't have at least one guy with mental issues/criminal behavior. Pit went through it with Brown. Detroit did with Suh. LV is with their WR WTF his name is. It's going to happen from time to time with any team. B'more did with Lewis. The list goes on and on. GM's are going to take a chance from time to time. You win some and you lose some. It's life.
 
While everyone on social media is raving about quarterbacks, this postseason also highlights the need for an upgrade at WR.

Burrow's leading receivers had over 200 combined yards of his 348. Tannehill struggled but AJ Brown still racked up 142 while Julio complimented it with 62 yards - everyone else had 13 receiving yards combined. It was a similar story with LA, as Kupp amassed over 180 yards and Odell complimented it with 69. Brady lost Godwin to injury, but Mike Evans turned in 119 yards. KC tried to take away Diggs and Knox, so Gabriel Davis goes for 200 yards and 4 TD in one of the most dominant displays ever (Even with guys like Diggs, they still drafted a talented young receiver). And, of course, Tyreek Hill puts up 150 yards.

That's insane. There were monster performances from wide receivers in literally every game. And, again, nobody uses their wide receivers less than Cleveland. We're too busy running multiple TE sets and putting our running backs out wide four passes per game.

I know people see it as defending Mayfield, but this offense needs to adjust to modern times because no quarterback is going to have success here - and those who could won't want to be here because it'll be significantly harder to have success.

If Stefanski isn't waking up while watching these games, he's a problem.
 
KS should integrate some WC concepts as well as other stuff like no huddle, silent snap and quick snap type of shit to keep certain defenses on the field or force teams to call a TO or take a penalty.

BM needs to get more coaching on getting rid of the ball quickly and not hold on to it trying to decide wtf to do. Which leads to reading defenses better and quicker. Hire Bernie as a consultant and he can school BM on reading defenses. What could possibly go wrong with that?

You know me. I love my wide receivers.

I agree a superstar QB can get the most out of players, but those guys were balling out on the weekend and proved why their teams are paying top dollar, investing draft picks and making them a focus point for the offense.

The thing for me is: Don't tell me we don't have a quarterback, tell me who the quarterback is.

Until we've got realistic options I'd rather add a Burks, Wilson or Olave than draft a QB who probably likely can't beat out Mayfield anyway.
 
Yah, I am pretty torn on it all. Pickett is starting to interest me. Not a place I wanted to be again, but Baker is just so limited. Could throw a draft pick at a WR but seems like a waste. After seeing OBJ fail spectacularly in this offense with this QB I am not very hopeful. And a trade doesn't seem likely without getting raped. Back to my avatar, sign Fitzmagic and give him a shot. He is a winner and with a roster like our he could do some damage. Put Baker on a short leash and have the balls to give it to Fitz if needed.
