BARKING HARD Member Introductions and Map... Please drop in and say hello!

Sup fellas. I'm the new old guy. You can call me poppa or pops.
Been a Browns fan since the Kardiac kids. Grew up a Vikings fan ( live in VA) but once they moved into a dome, I was done with them. Football is a outdoor sport.
Been to 3 Browns games, the first was 39 years ago today. Labor day, September 7th 1981. Don, Frank and Howard were in the booth. We were destroyed by Dan Fouts and the Chargers 44-14. But I loved the experience.
STR there hasn't been much to get excited about. Hopeful this is the year we make some noise and get this franchise back on track.
Go Browns.

Sure do, unfortunately none end in a championship.
Best fight I ever saw was at the old stadium. It was 1987 Browns and Bills, Kelly vs Kosar. We were on the lower level and about 12 rows ahead of us a fight breaks out between a Browns fans and a Bills supporter. Browns guy has him down between the seats wearing him out when the cops pull him off and take him away. The Bills guys and another cop are looking around on the ground for what I think are the guys teeth, when all of a sudden here comes Browns guy. Seems he broke away from the cop who took him away, and this dude just drove back on Bills guy and starts pounding on him again. That dude was pissed. Anyway it took 3 cops to carry him away that time. I'll never forget that fight.
Oh yeah, Browns won.

Are fights common in an NFL stadium? I ask because I’ve never been in one...
(Apologies for the OT)

Never been to one,,, But I hear Jets and Giant games are very fierce between the fans of those teams... It reminds me of the Browns/Steelers rilvalry of the 70's and 80's... There was nothing like it in Football at the time as far as rivalries goes... The Redskins/Cowboys rivalry was popular , too...

I went to the last game in Muni Stadium against Cincinnati. The mood was not good in Cleveland on that cold blustery day on the lake. Tailgates produced a drunken mob well before entering the stadium. My sister in law was pissed at me for accidentally dumping a beer on her.

As halftime approached the mood worsened on the lake. It was somber if yet surreal. As me, my 2 brothers and my brother in law approached the beer line at half time, the rowdy fans were ripe for a fight. The one thing that would set it off is taking cuts in the beer line in front of an already agitated crowd.

When suddenly it happened. A drunk Cincinnati fan tried to cut in the beer line. He was pushed, punched, kicked and elbowed until he was in the back of the line. Then as if to say FU Cleveland, he tried cutting in front of my BIL who is and was a Denver Bronco fan wearing a Bronco coat.

All was forgiven on this day though from the Elway Super Bowls as my BIL grabbed the Bengal fan behind the Adams Apple and began to choke him out. I finally got him to release the guy whom was furiously grasping for air. The unruly mob gleefully cheered my BIL with a standing ovation and forced him to the front of the beer line and they bought us rounds.

After halftime I saw fights breaking out in the Dawgpound as guys were sawing the bleachers apart. It was then I realized I’d never see another Browns game in Municipal Stadium.

Haven’t seen a fight in a stadium since although I’m sure it happens on occasion 😉

Hi all, my name is David, also formerly known as Stray Dawg. My phone broke and when I tried to sign in I was logged in as my original screen name when I was living in Hawaii. That phone broke and would not let me sign in as Trophyhill so I created the screen name Stray Dawg since I was in a foreign land and a long long ways from home. Anywho, Go Browns and great to be back!

I just stumbled across this thread. I like this, it’s almost like a support group for Browns fans!

I’m a Cleveland.com orphan been looking for a new place. Buckeyedjack or buck or Jack or bugeye, I ain’t picky. Real name is John. I spent the first 20 years of my life in Lorain and Vermilion. Last 21 in greater Cincinnati just across the river. Homer all the way and it’s a lot of fun when we sweep the bungles!

I look forward to chatting with you fellas

We're happy to have you! Bring your friends ....we recently parted ways with a group of people who were more interested in talking politics than football in the football section, so we would could use some new blood chumming up the waters.

Welcome John. Glad to have you with us.

Hey fellas! Excited to jump on board with you all. Big Browns fan from the Sandusky (Cedar Point) area.

Been a fan since ‘99. I was only 2 years old when Modell went Modell. First game in 2000. I was at the Dwayne Rudd game, the Myles helmet game, and stayed a fan for everything in between.
Just looking for a place to talk some Browns football, and figured that joining before this coming season was a good time. Look forward to talking to you all!
