Browns - Jimmy Haslam | Page 2 | Barking Hard

Browns Jimmy Haslam

A race that makes up 7% of the population shouldn't be surprised when they make up 7% of the coaches in the league. Why would anyone expect more? In fact if you want to dive deeper into college degrees, education, IQ, etc ....you could understand even more why it could be less than 7% coaching.
It's twice that.
Let's face it ...a large percentage of athletes especially those who were good enough to make it to the pros, got to coast through school most of their lives. Just because could run and catch, doesn't mean they can coach.
Schooling means very little in this country or others for that matter. look at all the educated working in DC. rest my case

You don't need to be genius to do that job. every guy who gets a interview can do the X's & O's. but can they Lead/motivate ?

the roonie rule does more harm than good.flores was incensed he was fired while doing a good (great?) job in florida.
I've experienced that myself.sometimes just doing a good job is'nt enough. If someone high up decides they dont like you?thats all it takes.race? who knows but y'd have to think it wasn't his skin colour or he wouldnt have made it in the door.
If flores would have just sat tight and been patient he'd get another great opportunity.now his entire career is at risk.
we are making progress,we just have to be patient as well.things are changing and will change.cream always rises to the top.

It's not fair to say they have to go above and beyond. You have zero evidence of that. The rooney rule forces orgs to interview people based on the color of their skin, (racist) of course many of them have no legit chance of being hired.

Both Flores and Lovie smith are good coaches imo. However poor Flores got pressured by the racist lobbyists to continue the grift. Now he is going to be considered toxic.

Do you think only White people can an be a HC ?
that would say something about you.

I did not say that nor imply that. You have to stop thinking in terms of everything being racist. You guys have been conditioned to see everything as racist and you need to break out of that cycle.

Its just an easy excuse for you guys and your woke culture so you don't have to get into the weeds and discover what the real issues are. In this case it is incompetence and idiocy on Haslams part........

#1 ...........I did not quote you.

#2 ..Don't "You Guys" me.

I will bet you we agree 75% of the Time the race card is just false BS. then there is that other 25 % where there is something stinky going on. here it is.

Read what you've wrote.... backwards.
no you need to hire black guys.

There is some good news. teams have done well as of late in having black Defensive coordinators & General Managers.

Since we are discussing the elephant in the room, it is truth time....

First, no it isn't fair at all to say black coaches have to go above and beyond. That doesn't hold water at all.

That's not to say there isn't an issue. There are several. Racism! Not one of them. That's just not reality. My favorite example is Tomlin. If Pittsburg fired him today he would have a job with a different team within an hour. That's just a fact.

Just as the fact Lovie Smith is being given a 3rd chance at being a HC.

Just as when the racist asshole Tony Dungy retired from the Colts teams were lining up to try and lure him back. They were even offering him the GM job if he wouldn't coach. He closed that door and did major damage toBblack coaches throughout the league by telling teams straight up that the woefully incompetent Leslie Frazier would be his HC and that he refused to hire any White coaches under any circumstances.

Same thing with Marvin Lewis. He shut the door on himself in the NFL and likely caused damage for other HC's. Jerryworld was reportedly hot and heavy for Lewis and leaning towards hiring him... Until he told them he and Clueless Hue Jackson were a package deal and if he takes the job Jackson would be the OC and Assistant Head Coach. The phone calls from other teams ended after that statement.

Brian Flores falls into the same grouping, unfortunately. The Saints and Texans were both heavily and legitimately interested in hiring him. Instead he let the Fritz Pollard Hate Group talk him into burning his career to bring a lawsuit against the NFL. Had he just been patient and told them to fuck off chances are he would be doing a presser today for the Saints or Texans as their new HC.

You want to fix it and want to see more representation in the coaching ranks? Tell Fritz Pollard and Tony Dungy both to fuck off and stop trying to bully people into hiring coaches based on race. Tell the media to stop trying to bully teams into purging every non-Black coach from the NFL.

Start holding people more accountable and stop race-baiting, simple as that.

Sorry, I don't base hiring decisions on the color of skin. Neither would any other sane business person on earth. As I already stated, maybe you need to go back a re-read ...any business who passes up the best person for the job, will then suffer by hiring the inferior candidate. If you think any GM is hiring a coach based on skin color you have been successfully brainwashed by the social justice crowd. The KKK does not hide behind every corner. It's a fringe element that barely exists. Grats.

I was wrong there is no racism in our world, let alone the NFL. thanks for all your wisdom on this subject.
I'll forever be in your debt for the knowledge you have laid out in this thread.

That sounds like hiring practices based on performance? Say it aint so........

I dont think anyone said racism does not exist. You are looking at the world thru Colin Kaepernick lenses. If you step back and look at things as a "reasonable" person would, you will begin to see the light. Ragnar brought up great points i think you should read where certain minority coaches were hired or would be hired based on merit. Which is hiw it ought to be. On a side note the new Miami HC? Some are claiming he aint "black enough". Now tell me thats a nice thing to say about a mixed human being......

I don’t think that’s what is being said in any way, shape or form.

I do think it’s a ‘good il’ boys’ network though.
People at the top will railroad absolutely anyone and everyone who threatens them.
We close our eyes to it for sake of entertainment, but pro sports has long been a cesspool.

Sure, there's plenty of racism in the NFL...

- White players being called cracker and honkey all game plus vulgar commentary about cucking them in front of their spouses and/or siblings, mother...

- Players on a team(Bengals 2003, DeRapist Watson 2020) going to management and demanding a black HC be hired or they boycott and ownership caving...

- The National Anthem being supplanted by the "Black National Anthem"

- Guys like Tony Dungy saying racist shit like that he will only hire based on race and would only take a GM position if he is allowed to hire the HC solely based on race....

- Coaches and members such as the racist posterboy Dungy calling teams and bullying them into hiring an HC based on race...

I could go on. Yes, there is racism in the NFL. No, contrary to the latest agenda, it isn't racism towards Black coaches. Quite the opposite.

So what a coincidence. Just saw a podcast with one of my favorite sports personalities and he is reporting Sharpton visited the comish and now the commish is advocating for the embattled fired Miami coaches lawsuit against the NFL. Is this for real?
Absolutely it is for real. The power play isn't about the HC position per se', the objective for Goodell supporting it is to force Ross to sell the team and in the interest of "equity" it will likely be Jay Z or Oprah buying it. They will make it clear no Whites allowed. Following that then I would expect Woke Fucktard Goodell to start pushing mandates that Blacks must be hired and make it near impossible to fire them.

As a cop years ago in the very late 90's we had a training session that covered several topics including the KKK, Hell's Angel's the Mongols, MS-13 and a shit ton of smaller militias and other organizations. The FBI spoke to us about it and guess what? The topic lasted all of an hour. Why? Because as the agent said there just isn't a large enough number of these people out there to merit serious concern. The KKK has a few branches here and there spread out across the country, but not organized very well. His big concern was the Hell's Angels and the Mongols because when they come in contact with each other by chance it's instant war and neither care about any collateral damage.

Anyway, the race groups are few and not even on anyone's radar contrary to what the current administration would have everyone believe. However, since Biden and Harris they might have stoked a few into taking sides. Black and white.
