Pick 52 ... Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame

We signed Troy Hill as our slot CB for 4.5 mil guaranteed. I'm guessing he's going to see a lot of playing time there.

JOK is the guy that will play damn near every position except on the line.

did y'all watch the tape?
he disrupts plays from the slot in a way a DB just can't
mark my words you WILL see him take plays from the slot, perhaps just to set up the blitz but he will get looks there
If Im woods I want my best players on the field and JOK>harrison at SS

Owusu-Koramoah is neither a linebacker nor a safety. He is much closer to a safety, but not quite. He's a ROVER, a Joker, a box defender, a hang defender, a defensive weapon, whatever you want to call him. But his role is not that of a linebacker, no matter how much some fans wanted to sink capital into one

Cleveland Browns: Stop calling Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah a linebacker, he’s so much more

Wu might get some time in the slot until we face a team that runs the ball between the tackles.
Do you think he'll get off the blocks of guards? It's usually the issue these smaller LB's have. They can easily be moved out of the way.

You will see it when we play pit and b'more.

no,we dont want him as a primary run defender or getting tangled up on the line.
thats why he's not a "between the tackles" LB in the NFL.hes an edge defender/SS
hes a speed guy, last thing we want is him taking on the O-line unless its a run of course
and If its a run our 2 LB/front 4 should have it sorted. If JOKer starts at 4-3 LB it will be in the disguised T2
and not as a traditional WILL or SAM.

If you remember the colts game last year they stopped us rolling out by playing contain from the OLB spots
their D adjustments were on point and effective.now we have walker.
It wouldnt surprise me If it was walker who helped make those adjustments on the fly

you'd hope woods is forming a specific game plan to stop running QB's. It was a big problem for us last year.
this comes down to coaching. woods has the players to do the job now.no excuses.
with walker backing up the line and JJ3 as vocal as ever back at FS I expect a much more cohesive D unit this year.
this D needed leaders like these men.game on garth.
bring on the chiefs

so now delpit and harrison have hamstring problems (which is usually technically the thigh, the front of the hammy)
so If JOK isnt playing at SS who is? redwine (a FS and injured) lecounte or meander/benton
what is sendejo doing at the moment? we might need him to play his natural role at SS were he'd be quite good IMO.
with 3 of our safeties out? we are short.
its got to be JOK as the starter and we pray he and JJ3 stay healthy.

The front of the hammy as you say would be a quad.

A hamstring is the back if the the thigh. It's so easy!

Can you stop with the saftey talk please he is trying to learn Will LB and is behind. he isnt being cross trained, he wont be constrained. it is a totally different position

His role is going to be LB that bumps into the slot when they see different formations. THATS IT .... moving on

LOL - LB dont "bump" and man cover slot receivers. you just proved my point.hes not just a WILL.
TBH Its mainly because we dont have depth at SS.we have harrison and delpit and both are currently hurt.then who?who you got then?
Its just a hunch though and ok fair enough,Ill shut up about it.I could be really wrong about it for sure.
I am hoping they play him there.plug him into a weak spot in our D.why not?
afterall If he can cover slot WR AND TE's as you say,why is it such a bad take?
