THE 2021 NFL SEASON IS OFFICIALLY OVER FOR THE CLEVELAND BROWNS.thoughts?

Im sorry but,I cant disagree with a word of that. including the playcalling.I do think KS should leave it to a specialist.
I just cant get behind firing the guy. he nails the basic stuff like clock management (remember FK?) and Is a mature stable sane HC.
why do you guys want to fire "the laptop?" isnt our roster and drafting rather good? Im confused about that.
running teams (the colts) are struggling. you cant run without the threat of the pass. we just need better QB play.it solves all our problems
wentz? no thanks.Id rather have a rook.

Our roster is great... Thanks to John Dorsey rebuilding it from the garbage can that was The Laptops last time in charge. We want him gone for a few dozen reasons. 1: He is a backstabbing crybaby that ran to Haslem because Dorsey threw his useless spreadsheets in the trash, getting Dorsey fired. 2: He conned Truckstop Jimmy into forcing whomever came in to let him run the show. He is drawing up plays and practices and scouting reports and everything else on his laptop and dictating how every facet of the team will be ran.

It is failing. We are regressing backwards, yet again. Honestly if Truckstop Jimmy would just shit an The Laptop and let AB and KS run their own thing I think most of us would in fact sit back and wait to see how it plays out. But as long as The Laptop is running the show this franchise is going nowhere.

I love some of the nicknames used in this forum. Random people come in here and are probably like wtf? The Laptop? ShitmyPanski? Hilarious.

I somewhat disagree. Dorsey's impact on this organisation is super underrated, and the way he was fired is something I didn't agree with at the time and still don't agree with.

I was freaked out about Berry getting the job. I wasn't for it at all. But I've been impressed with the additions he's made.

The 2020 draft was excellent. Jed Wills has been excellent, albeit overshadowed by Wirfs, Delpit was fantastic this year, Phillips has been banged up but has flashed (he was a monster in the finale), Elliot and Bryant have been solid role players, and DPJ has emerged as a very good receiver - he's not a #1, but a steal in the 7th.

The 2021 draft gave us Greg Newsome (Stud), JOK (Future pro-bowler). A little early to say on the others, but I liked what I saw from Lecounte and Felton in their limited opportunities. Togiai could be solid in the rotation, and Hudson bounced back from a woeful performance against TJ Watt to a dominant performance against the Bengals, so who knows. I love Schwartz talent, but he played with a bad QB in college and Auburn can't develop receivers so he'll take time.

We've added some nice free agents with long-term additions such as JJ3, Troy Hill and Conklin. I love his short-term deals, too. Guys like Clowney, McDowell, Walker, Joseph, Jackson and McKinley who are very cheap and making a value impact. He also got us out from under some bad contracts early on.

He's also managed to lock down Garrett, Bitonio, Teller to favourable deals - and we've still got some nice cap space, with strong options to create more if needed.

Overall, I like what I've seen from Berry so far. I don't think we're going backwards so much as just having to endure a very awkward year.

This a talented roster by all accounts. Some players are Dorsey's and some are Berry's who made the right decision to not jettison all of Dorsey's guys and did resign some of them keeping them here awhile longer.

I'm not buying that. This team had the lead in a handful of games in the second half only to watch the offensive play calling deteriorate in the 2nd half ultimately losing those games because Stefanski stopped doing the things that got them the lead in the first place. He outsmarted himself by overthinking and trying to be cute. It just makes no sense to me that you would stop doing what works unless the other team has made the adjustments that make you counter adjust. Dont think for a minute that Baker doesn't share in the blame either. Injured or not, he cannot read a defense or see the open receivers.

This with those same injured players or backups on the field. How do you suppose they were able to obtain leads with these injured and or backup players? Had they won 2 or 3 of these games, we'd be singing a totally different tune. We wouldn't be making excuses for guys or criticizing them. We'd be talking about a potential Superbowl run.......
All true and I can see it too, but I don't think KS is stubborn. That doesn't seem to be who he is from what I see. He does the "manage the game" type of play calling a bit early in games and with slim leads, but I don't think it's enough to send him packing right now. After OBJ left the passing game was shit. Even while he was here it wasn't good at all and KS and the FO can see it if most of us here can. The passing game looks like it'll be the #1 priority going into FA and the draft.

  1. Passing game overall
  2. DLine/End if Clowney isn't resigned
  3. OL depth
  4. Outside chance of QB.

I don't think there is a QB in this year's draft that can come in and play better than BM. IF there were the odds would go up accordingly and IF they thought BM is the crux of the passing game issues. I don't think they are that far along in their evaluations.

nor do I. but maybe 2 years on the bench behind baker and they might bloom into a starter. sure.
best case scenario is we dont need another QB.baker plays great.we make the playoffs and baker gets tagged in '23.
rogers waited.I am a big believer in grooming your QB room.why now then? all going well we may not get such a high pick for a while.
do I think we will do what I suggest? no actually I dont. doesnt mean Its not the right move.
and If bakers surgically repaired body fails and hes out again for an extended period? al least we would be building for the future.at least.

now If we had a dynamic runner like willis? that could really help baker.give him a breather after a sack.run some 3rd and shorts.
just because its a QB doesnt mean they couldnt help the OFF right away. this is how good teams prepare for the future.you dont plan to fail..

My God Allen was on fire last night. 7 TD's in 7 drives? That's a HC who keeps the pedal to the metal for the whole damn game. I'm glad I saw that cause, but hopefully KS saw that. Also the D played complimentary football by getting picks and that the offense converted. Guess what? They need a kicker too! LOL.
