MKC was on 92.3 the Fan this morning and said the structure of the Carolina deal was done months ago, but that Carolina didn't want to pay more than 5 mil and BM was the hold up because he did not want to take a pay cut. Carolina had to negotiate with him to make this deal happen. Also, the Browns were willing to bring BM back after looking into Watson, but BM requested a trade and forced the FO to sign Watson.
In a nutshell BM got pissed because the Browns looked into a better QB and he subsequently wanted out of here. Then he didn't want to play ball until he found out he didn't have as much value in the league as he thought and took a pay cut to play for Carolina. I wish the kid well, but he's his own worst enemy at times.

Sure we would, Shabbaz Al-Berry has made his agenda as transparent as can be since his arrival. Baker could have won the SB and Berry still would have been trading him off to change the complexion of the QB room to what he wants it to be.

If you publicly criticize your coaches after the 10th game of the season and while at the same time having your worst season you are fucking up.
Same for Garrett. If you are publicly critical of the coaches you are fucking up. Here's a better way to handle that. Look at your own personal game tape and improve on your own game first. Go over it with one of the coaches of your choice and ask them how I can improve. In the future it will buy you a bunch of wriggle room when things are not going well as well as it's pretty good leadership trait to have.

Yes Baker could have won the SB, in Madden. I know he could, he did for me. But so did every other bad and mediocre QB the browns have had. In the real NFL, no he isn't winning a SB unless he had a Raven-esc D and a running game carrying him to it. Shit he had to have a running game carry him to the playoffs.
If by changing the complexion of the QB room you mean having an adult, is accurate, can read a whole field, doesn't divide a locker room, and his teammates will actually defend/support, then you would be correct. But pretty sure you are still just trying your reverse racism card, which continues to only further show you for the bigoted ignorant person that you are.

Not sure I'd call it a QB controversy, in part for your last sentence. But Baker is behind the learning curve in CAR, and when you put them both on a practice field the eye test is likely going to favor Darnold. Bigger, stonger, more athletic, etc. And they will be on a level playing field, as oppose to when compared while on different teams
