I know right. Did you hear Baker's most recent hateful comments about Cleveland? I did.

I don't hate Baker. I just know for a fact he is a shitty pro football player. I'm horribly disappointed we paid someone millions of dollars to draft a midget with a muffintop and a poor attitude to become our franchise QB at the height of our Superbowl window with a stacked roster. Just awful.

That's not fair. I have always been even keeled when it comes to Baker. Not once have I ever said Baker was our long-term answer. But I well remember that first year with Stefanski and that fantastic run we made down the stretch and Baker's 26 td - 8 int, 103.2 QBR. I know TBPP discounts that season because of Covid, but whatever, Baker was damn good that season and if we had that dude right now, we'd be in the hunt. But that guy is gone. I think Baker's so fucked up now that he may never play at a high level again. We will see.

I always thought Baker was pretty good out of college and had a positive trajectory... until he got 4 head coaches and 5 offensive coordinators and it seemed he stopped caring about what coaches had to say anymore.
Exactly what I feared would happen, happened. The Browns had finally a good enough QB to build with and we royally fucked it up like a loose bull in a cowbarn.

To be fair you have been mostly even keeled. I wanted him and everyone drafted to be great wether I like the pick or not. And I was not a fan of Baker #1. That said he played well and was exactly what Cleveland and us fans needed. He was easy to root for and I was pleasantly surprised.

Then he returned to camp with 100 commercials. Clearly out of shape. Then the constant running his mouth, blaming others and victim type nonsense. He detonated his reputation and career in Cleveland, it was hard to watch.

I wish him well as I would never root against a person. Unless the Browns are playing them of course.

This doesn’t help anyone and would be a negative to anyone brought in as the face of the franchise.

That said, he did himself in with the “I won’t change for anyone attitude”. The minute I hear that sentence stuttered from a person, I know they’re not long for success. If your stubborn and unwilling to adapt to your surroundings then life is going to be real hard.

I think that character trait got him into the nfl, but will also get him out of the nfl just as fast.

the only reason baker reached those highs is because of our world class coaching staff and players.
an to be fair some brilliant drafting.the chubb move is historic for the CB.

I hope baker goes out and plays streetball,hes going to be free to improvise quite a bit
given his situation which for an experienced QB should actually help him play well.a bit of freedom.
If his receivers (the ones he has left) can play come back streetball who knows? this could be a fun game.the raiders pass rush is no joke though and I am serious about that.
lets just say I hope mama mayfield doesnt watch this game.LOL
