NFL Baker to the Panthers for a 2024 (conditional) 5th rounder

NEWSFLASH: Whoever QBs under Stefanski's run first offense is not going to have big numbers on a consistent basis. Watson will never replicate his numbers in Houston, hopefully, because he won't be that far behind and have to throw all the time and we will continue to be a run first team. Baker's 2020-2021 season, 26 Tds and 8 Ints and a QBR of 103.1 is about as good as any QB is going to do playing with Stefanski. And that's fine. But don't judge our QBs based on what throwing teams are going to have. Every Stefanski QB will have their throws limited, including Watson. And cutting the field in half for Baker is pure bs.
From a pure stat sheet those are good numbers. When you watch what it took in smoke and mirrors and offensive play call limitations they are not. That is unless you are looking to praise Steff for getting those out of the limitations he had.

It's not truly a run first offense. Steff wants to throw. You see that desire come out, often to a detriment at times, because he seems to forget what he is working with at QB. The offense wants the treat of the run to run PA.

It's not BS on cutting the field in half for Baker. It shows in the play designs and the reads on the all 22. Then you got Baker limited ability to use the middle of the field because of his height and finding throwing windows.

ANY of you guys trying to defend baker making that tackle.stop.:mad::mad::mad: Im embarrassed for you.
Its about the dumbest thing Ive seen an NFL starter do in my life apart from that favre pick in FG range
and of course jimmyG taking that hit and getting injured instead of running out of bounds.
then theres the orlovski safety....ok its still dumb perhaps not the dumbest thing ever LOL

BREAKING: Baker is still short, chubby, unathletic, can only see 1/3 of the field, sucks under center, sucks when throwing from the pocket, and still has the most INTs of any QB in the league since he entered it. Also a fragile ego. And wildly inconsistent accuracy wise.

But other than that, he's super good.
Blah, blah, blah. We'll see how he does to finish the season. He threw some nice passes yesterday all over the field. And when healthy, he is very accurate.

Just the opposite. Everyone here is criticizing Baker for trying to make that tackle.

Lol.
Come on guys…
Look at the defense the Raiders decided they would show Mayfield.

Great, he won a game in prime time.
At what point does everyone realize BM is limited on vision of the whole game?
Newsflash. You can game plan for BM.
On the positive side it sounds like the Mrs has been silent for a while.

Go Browns.

We went 11-5 and won our first playoff game since 1994, and you guys think he sucked. Ridiculous.

as am I,If you had bothered to read.the kid had plenty of defenders around him.If you think it was cool?then you're as big a moron as he is.understand it was bakers left side he tried to tackle on.
thats why he got hurt.know how hard it is to master and physically prepare to be able to hit hard with both shoulders? LOL you dont just run out on an NFL field and start nailing fools on your wrong side like #52..
any defender knows that..this is the NFL.not backyard BBQ football.a #1 overall? shiiiit.

Well Pastor, is it really necessary to preach to the choir? Every one in here is thoroughly aware how the season fell in the toilet in one play last year. Baker has attitude, vision, and decision making issues. That's only one side of the coin. The other side is a Browns organization that didn't take his green dot helmet away from him and tell him "next year". Things continued down hill when Berry and Depo started making rash decisions to move on from a QB who had a tendency to make rash decisions. Now the Browns are tied to another QB who has behavior issues when he has a stiffy.

The TEAM went 11-5. Mainly on the back of the running game. No NFL player "sucks" or they wouldn't be in the NFL. In 2020 Baker didn't "suck". But he was a trainer, not a tractor
Right. . . 3563 Yds, 26 Tds - 8 Ints, and a QBR of 103.1 on a run heavy team is really bad. I would kill for a QB with those numbers every year. And there's no reason to believe he would have been worse in 2021-2022 if he had not broken his left shoulder.

No QB should ever make that play, even if he were the last defender. Just let the guy score. The season is more important than one touchdown.
