The sad reality is Baker Mayfield was an absolute joy compared to what we've previously marched out at the position. We've endured a lot worse than him, so holding out hope just felt natural.
On the bright side, none of us followed him to Carolina. Not mentioning any names. But it rhymes with step.

the niners are going to the playoffs this year with jimmyG adding to his post season stats.

There actually are drills for it and he’s getting roasted for that.
One involves throwing from behind an object, which is designed to lift your point of release. Mayfield’s footwork is bad and his base is often wide, which lowers his release point and makes passes more likely to get batted down.
It’s just typical Baker. For some reason, he seems to think working towards improvement is a slight.

OK. I'm aware of drills designed to create a higher release point for QB's. Those drills were never presented to me as a prevention of batted balls drill. It was training to get QB's to use a more over the top release.
Like I said a couple days ago. We here at the BHF speak PhD level football. We may speak to similar things in a different way or different terminology, but it's not a typical he can't throw the football right rum dum BS in other forums.

yes they should be able to play both but some players just arent good enough to do that.
hufunga plays coverage like a CB and hes a SS! they play him at single deep too.ST the kid can do it all.
BTW we took lecounte (who we just waived) 11 picks before hufunga went at pick #180 2021 draft

Yes LeCounte was waived. 1-2 days later they signed him to the PS. He'll probably be back only Berry knows when.
